how long has it been since you have performed the basic maintenance on your car? (plugs, fuel filter, oil change) all the little stuff, you never know, but we do need more info for this diagnosis!

not yet, we still need more info, I've had this issue several times, never once was it spark wires. most recently my coolant reservoir cap was damaged and was sucking in air into the cooling system. when it got low enough the car would start and die, if I gave it a touch of throttle it'd start and stay running. other times it was a clogged fuel filter, low oil etc. all slightly different symptoms but the same crank, fire, die routine.

I know i'm thread jacking, but I am having the same issue with my ride. When I start the car cold, like after sitting overnight, it will start fine. When I start it warm, like after an hour or so of sitting, sometimes it will crank, catch, stumble, and then die. If I then give it like 5 seconds and try and start it, it fires and runs fine. No issues while idling or driving. This only happens after I have driven the car and then try to start it after it has sat for a short time. Off the top of my head, I don't believe that giving it pedal during the stumbling does any good, but i'll have to get back to you on that. I just finished a complete rebuild and the engine has about 2000 miles on it. Oil is fine. Plugs are new. Fuel Filter is new. Any ideas?? 505racer, I hope your problem is similar.
