104656, Cams+Gears = performance?
Posted by Ryan97EclipseRS, Jun-06-07 04:00 PM
Hey guys, my last ost was moved to the wrong section so here goes. I'm doing my HG/Timing belt and I'm gunna get a mild port/polish done to my head while I've got it out.
My question is that I was also considering putting in some Crower 1's and AEM Cam Gears and I was curious if I'm going to get a notable performance increase (enough to justify the nearly $700 price tag). Any input is appreciated. Thanks! (420a NA)

you should just go with the crower 2's and replace the valve springs while your at it, you will feel some nice gains and with some tuning it will be better, go for it!

All you had to do was look in the advanced tuning section and click on the cam thread.

That's got all the info you'll need. With port work, you'll want to go with a cam that breathes better than the crower 1's.
