10463, Apex-i Super-AFC Posted by toykilla, Dec-19-01 01:18 PM
Has anyone EVER had any problems with their super-AFC?? I was driving tonight and I noticed that the screen to it was blank. At first I thought that a wire came loose. After looking at it and seeing if anything else was off I noticed that the buttons were still lite up. Which tells me its still getting power and should be on...anyone else ever had a problem like this with theres??? Im going to call Apex-i tomorrow and find out whats up with this thing and too see if it happens often.

I really didn't want to answer this question.
I've gone through three AFCs. I'm on my fourth. Both the first and second did this and never came on. May have a broke one.

take it apart real quick and check the screen is on a separate board from the rest of the electronics and there is a plug liek connection between the two. Make sure that connection is being made. If that doesn't help them deal with a warranty claim.

How are they goping to know if you unscrewed the four screws on the back? There is no magic seal that you will brake to tell them you opened it.
