104504, 420A Differences between avenger, sebring, eclipse?

Well I just boosted my 95 talon and will be building my engine when winter comes. I am looking aroun local junkyards and have found a couple different 420A's in avengers and some 2g's.

My question is I have a 95 talon built aug 94 and I was wondering if there is any difference in the block and/or head between these motors. I mean I know they are the same engines but are there any small differences that I should know about before I go and get one of these and build them up for my talon.

I just want to know exactly which motor to look for.

They should all be the same.

If you check the board, you will find that the blocks are the same. Some of the early neon blocks had the PCV cast into the block. You would just need to plug that up and throw a 2gnt head on it. Other than that you should be good to go.

Ok thanks guys, looks like I'll be picking up one of these engines soon and start my full build so it can handle some serious boost next year.

They are not all the same. But the differences are minute. If you have the option Build a 95 2gnt block it has the best oiling passages in the block of all years, And requires no modification for the bearings. I have a 95 block and a 96 head.

+1
the skirts on the block of the 95's have the little tabs to allow for Full Groove bearings and will definatly be a good bit of insurance on a built motor.
95 block 98 head

Ok so I should look for a 95 block. Does anyone know which avengers have the same block as the 95 dsm's? Would it be 95 avengers? I have no clue.

yes, but there kinda rare you might be better off looking for a neon block.
