Where is the VC1 located? should i check that before buying a new map sensor? Pulled code p0108 sensor high input.

Are you turbo? A VC1 is a voltage clamp (missing link, FCD). Only reason you should have a voltage clamp on your car is to prevent boost being seen by the ECU if you installed a turbo. Adjust it lower if you do. If you don't, replace the MAP sensor or check your harness around the EGR valve's pipe to see if it melted anything.
