103838, Which injectors? Posted by rself, Apr-09-07 02:23 PM
I'm swapping out a blown motor. I have the 5 speed and the new motor came out of an auto. which injectors are better? Are they different at all? I'm gonna swap the fuel rail because the rail on the bad motor( my old one) fuel pressure is regulated some where other than on the rail. On the replacement the regulator is on the rail. Is this a good set up or should I continue and just swap them?
Also what is the best way for ME to clean the injcectors and rail?
Thanks yall.

Injectors are the same. You can just swap rails. The donor must be from a 95 early 96 model and yours is 96+. Your fpr is back by the tank that's why you're noticing differences

You really shouldn't need to *clean* the fuel rail .... it's gasoline, which is used as a solvent so as it is. If you're talking about the outside of the rail just spray it down with some engine degreaser. I did that when my motor was out and then painted it cherry red. Looked real nice on the car too.
