Anyone know what could cause this? I have power at the 30amp engine fuse but no spark when cranking.

If this is on an RS/GS, check the ASD relay and cam & crank angle sensors.
If this is on a TSI, you're in the wrong section.

It's an RS. How would I check the cam and crank angle sensors? They appear to be plugged in and no wires are disconnected.

you need to un plug and unbolt the two..and test their resistance, also what coil are you using and what year..check your ASD relay its on your drivers side..there are two relays, one is a fuel pump relay and one is your ASD...check your resistance on your coil also, if everything looks good your ecu might be bad

If you dont have one of these yet http://machv.com/hayrepman90.html, get one theyre like 15 bucks at autozone... they teach you how to check voltage and resistance on pretty much all sensors and relays, plus more importantly tell you where they are, I had a hard time looking for the crank angle sensor myself. Its also helpful if you have a buddy that has the same car, and do some part swapping.
