I am installing my header this weekend, and i figured i might as well get a new muffler also. I am looking for mostly performance and a throaty sound rather than looks.. I have read the archives and many articles... so my question is this.. i can get a Dynomax Ultra flo muffler with custom 2.5" piping for $175. Is this a good deal?

went to go order it.... and i got the ole.... "well thats the price we gave you during our special" so... i start jumping in their asses and the manager comes out and agrees to the quoted price i had but now my choice of tips was limited to two. A friggin 8" megaphone for trucks.. or a 1 1/2" one for a bug... anyone know of a good place to order them online?

get the 8" megaphone dood. :P Nah, if it is a dynomax muffler, it should already have a tip. If not, just tell them you don't want a tip. Then get a bosal brospeed tip. They are nice. I had one on my stock muffler back in my earlier days.

Nope muffler will not come with a tip, universal muffler don't always come with them, dynomax borla etc don't come with tips, you can pick and choose what tip you want. lust find a tip with 2.5" inlet and have it welded on.
