You have the 420A motor in your nonturbo eclipse, like most of us. The ones who own a GST or a GSX have a small chance they will get crankwalk, which is on the 4G63 motor. This is caused by a bad "batch" of eclipses through the mitsu plant. The crank literally "walks" off it's track/rotory spinning inside the engine. I am sure the more experienced veteran 2gnt'ers will further elaborate for me if necessary. You're fine man, enjoy the RS! ;-)

No need to elaborate since we dont have to worry one bit about it. Also auto GST/X's dont get crankwalk I believe.

ahh yes the dreaded word crankwalk to the 4G guys that is. One more reason to buy a 2GNT and mod it up.

Well I guess I based that upon numbers. There have been few autos that have gotten crankwalk. And yes there are a decent amount that are modded.

We may not get crankwalk but we sure as hell get "rod bearing walk" cause I hae spun 3 myself and I know many others have too.

hehe, yeah, every motor seems to have some kind of design flaw that could have been improved if further testing was done... we're at the car manufactures mercy tho... i wants a 2gnt anyways tho, even though people say we have a neon motor and all that crap, atleast our motor is new-age and cad designed.... we have a lot less parts and a lot better engine design in my oppinion.. plus i like the self gratification of whooping up on local street monsters with my "neon motor"
