Right now i have a set of crane turbo grind cams in my motor but i am not happy with them at all. so i have a set of crower 3's in the mail, but i just thought that maybe i should replace the rockers so i dont wear any of the cam lobes down. mind you that the entire valve train only has maybe 15000miles on it, cams, pt rockers, pt lifters, crane springs.

so the question is do i replace the rockers? i would be more inclined to replace the rockers but if i am gonna do that than i might as well go ahead and replace the crane spings with crowers since i have heard some spings breaking on neons. and if i do springs then im gonna want Ti retainers, and if i do that than i might as well send a new set of lifters out to rhodes and have them beef them up.

replace rockers, lifters, springs, retainers, keepers and seals just for a simple cam swap?

They are roller rockers (followers). You will not wear your cam lobes. The only real purpose of replacing the followers is if you have the originals in there and you are putting the SBI's in there.

Agreed. The only reason I would consider replacing prefectly good Crane springs with Crowers would be if you were installing the Ti retainers and would have the springs off anyway. Ti retainers are good for lightening up the valve train. Don't quote me on this, since I never weighed mine, but I've heard that a set of Ti retainers weighs less than one stocker.

Plus they look pretty.

I agree, i wouldnt worry about replacing any other components unless you had some serious head damage ( like bent valves etc etc..) and in that case i would then just inspect the rockers,.. i had actually grenaded an engine once and it bent the valves and cracked one of my rockers, but i didnt know it until it snapped with the new had back on

x2. Visually inspect everything and there should not be any problem with such low miles on the components. Unless you really fell like spending an extra $300-700. :shrug
