Ok I am still having the chargging problem that i posted earlier and now i had my check engine light come on so i got it checked and two codes came up.
1. P0401 - EGR System Failure
2. P1494 - LDP Switch Or Mech. Fault

I am not to mechaniclly inclined so what do these two codes mean, affect, and easiest way to fix them.

All help is once again appreciated

For the first one, check everything related to the egr. The valve, the harness, the vaccum switching valve or some call it a solenoid.

The second is going to be something related to your evap system. Good luck tracing that one down.

And always use the search as these codes have been discussed numerous times before.

Basically the same problem, the LDP needs to be tested with a multimeter. I have the spec. values in the above post. I beleive on all years except 99 it is on the front passenger side inside the bumper. With the 99s it is back up near the fuel cell, a pain in the ass to get to.
