put a 96 talon motor in my 96 eclipse The talon fuel rail has a return line of the fuel rail My eclipse did not have that Can i just cap that return line Or ?

if it has the return line its off a 95, with the FPR on the rail

You have an early 2Ga fuel system on the new motor that was designed to adjust the fuel pressure as the manifold vacuum changed.

Your 96 chassis has the regulater mounted back by the tank and it does NOT change fuel pressure at any RPM. It is fixed at about 47-48 PSI.

You should be able to cap the fuel return and not hook up the vacuum line. Test your fuel pressure to be sure when you have it running.

I have heard that some early 96 models had the 95 fuel system but I have not seen that pesonally.

If you get under the rear passenger tire and look up you should be able to verify if there is a return line coming from the regulator back into the tank (under the back seat). If so, you should be able to cap that line as stated above.
