i have a 97 eclipse RS. i had to take apart the engine so i could hone out the cylinders because the person i had bought it from left the head off. it had surface rust that was easy to get off the cylinders with a finger but i had to hone it just in case. i'm going to put all new seals, main bearing but would it be alright to reuse the piston rings. they are in great condtion but i need to know by others. would it be O.k, oh, i did not remove them from the pistons need to know asap

They are really not that expensive. Make sure it is done right and get the end gap set correctly. A small price to pay now and eliminate an unknown in your equation later down the road.

The point of piston rings is to wear down to the shape of the cylinders and seperate oil & compression.
By honing the walls, you changed the shape of the cylinders. Those old rings will not re-shape, they are now junk. Get new ones.

Standard if honed only. If they have to bore it then you will have to get the corresponding ring size.
You will need to get a feeler gauge and file the ring ends no matter what size you get regardless.
