1018, AF/X TB or Header Posted by Raz, Apr-23-01 06:15 AM
I'm trying to decide which one to get. Which will produce the greatest increase in power?

from my understanding in order to get the full potential from a bored TB you should also get the intake manifold ported to match.....get a header simple and fun. better yet get a udp if you dont already have one

I don't know where the myth started, but the inlet on our intake manifold is 55mm, the same diameter of the Bored TB. What I think you've read is that you'll need an aftermarket intake to take advantage of the bored TB. Which means something like an Cold Air Intake, or a Short Ram.
But yes if you don't have the AF/X UDP get that first. Your best bang for the buck.

So which header do you think is the best. I have heard hotshot is great but expensive.

...is great but expensive, Hotshots you can find for cheaper but less better looking finish(it is still nice though)
