101760, really fuff idle ..

k, 420 a 96 atx,

put a new head on it re did timign, with all new componets, added findanza cam gears too
made sure they were 0'd and locked.

did timing looked great after starting problems it fires up
now after 2 slow cranks it starts.. idles up to 1.2k.. then the engien ets all shakey, and idle falls to 600~700 range and stays and sometimes almost stalls out..
repaced plugs
02 sensor
the incabin temp gauge reads half, doenst over heat
theres a little white smoke but its gettin pushed out hella fast by the exhaust, sounds liek a dam mussel car. its getting a CEL: 21.. hence the 02 sensor. still reades the same..ran the same as it did wihtout sensor pluged in and stil runs the same with new 02 sensor.

what else is gunna cause this? if its timing , these ar adjusatbalt what so i need to do?

: swapped map sensor, same shit. any one have a pic of the IAc?

If your timing was off, instead of trying to adjust it with the cam gears, you need to actually fix it some its timed correctly.

Where did you get this head from? I bet you have a leaky valve stem seal since your puffing some white smoke.

i go tthe head from a freind who had it re done, we were going to rebuild my engine, so we had the head work doen, he dint have time to help, so i did it. the timing is right on.. i just did a comp test and its 195 across. the head was frsh deck and rebuild. so will it take tim for things to seat seal? the internals of it were new too. while preping the head some coolant drops may have been in the CC, and the engines hat run longer then 5 mins if that...and now the cel(21)is gone. but still the ruff idle at 500~700

wil the IAc and tps help? r these the 2 sensors on the TB?

hahaha, ok.
any other sugestions? i need to know if the TPS and IAC are the 2 sensors on the TB,
and what other sensors should i try?
i already tested cam/crank sensor, and they are GTG.

Yes those 2 are on the throttle body. back side. However just for info, the IAC is not a sensor, but exactly as the name implies an Idle Air Controller. It is a stepper motor that allows more or less air to enter the throttle body from behind the throttle plate to keep the car idling according to what the ECU sees.
Rarely have I seen a TPS go out. More common are MAP sensors, IAT(Intake Air Temp), and the notorious CTS (coolant temp sensor).
Those all affect the idle.
Check those, check the IAC, and check the EGR valve, that can cause idle issues as well.

ok, i checked the map, its fine, and the EGR is new too, ill swap both the TB sensors, to see if that has ne effect. wheres the IAT and the coolant temp sensor located? i know theres 2 and one is for dash the other is for ecu.
