Anyone have a link to a detailed guide to pull the 402a out of an Eclipse?

Download the Service Manual. It's in DarkOne's sig.

Slowmitsu's choice, while informational, may be a bit too technical. I suggest that you read through Corbin's link;

Corbins link is just how to rebuild it, not really take it out. It's not really that difficult to do. You have to disconnect all of the sensors, I suggest labeling them so you know where they all go. Then you have to drop out the halfshafts, you need to take a couple bolts out of the bottom of the suspension in order to get enough play to take it out, they're hard to pop out so be ready to put some ass into it. Unbolt the exhaust. Take off the intake, unless it's a short ram in which case I guess it's ok. Take out the battery and the tray and the bracket for it. Take off the heater hoses, disconnect the shift linkage which is on top of the tranny. Take out the clutch slave cylinder. Hook up your motor hoist, drop the crossmember, take off the test of the mounts, and pull away.
