Ok, this is gonna sound dumb, but I want to make sure I'm wording this correctly. Is the actual IAC motor this little thing with the plunger on it?

I wanted to do a write-up and I thought I was sure of what it was until I started reading this thread http://forums.2gnt.com/dcboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=4&topic_id=55498&mode=full
which is a pretty good write-up already (I'm just planning on adding a little hear removing a little there and adding working pictures) but seems to have been lost amongst a ton of other old posts and the pictures no longer work. Sounds to me that the thing with the plunger on it is exactly what he's describing, but then he says something about not removing the plunger and not being able to see it and I got confused.
