101401, Wierd engine problem

so about a year ago, i had my engine replaced. everything was great until recently. every now and then.. haven't found a pattern yet: around 2500-3000 rpm in gears through 3-5, it feels as my car hit a rev limiter. it will just suddenly jolt and lose power. everything was replaced when the motor was replaced. so keep in mind it doesnt happen all the time, maybe it happens when i drive more? cant really put a pin on it. any ideas? thanks

Are you sure every sensor is new out of the box. Did you personally change everything yourself?

If not I wouldn't doubt the builder used old sensors :shrug but I don't know.

I would probably look into the tps and map sensors.

Check the wire harness along the driver's side of the head to be sure the EGR pipe hasn't melted through any insulation, causing an intermittent short. You might also pull the MAP sensor out and check to be sure it's not clogged with funk.

Otherwise, how old are your spark plugs and plug wires? :wary
