I am burning a little bit of oil now. I ran a compression test and I got 190-180-190-185. I know that this has come up before but would it be ok to boost a car that has this problem for a few months while I am able to get the funds to get a rebuild? I would only be running 7lbs. What does everyone think?

I burn oil, mainly because of shitty Total Seal rings, but I boost okay.

word I ditched those total seals with this recent rebuild don't burn a single drop of oil now. :)

Check your vacuum if your vacuum needle fluctuates then it could be the valve seals. how much does it burn? I was burning like quart every 200 miles with my total seals :( black sooty nastiness everywhere when I tore that engine down.

The vaccume has dropped some, but I put in a engine treatment and washed all the oil off the back of the car from the exhaust. It has yet to build up any oil on the bumper. Yeah I have heard more problems from total seal than I have heard good. The only thing that I am worried about it that I am running regular dino oil now but i have some purple for when I boost it. I know syn. oil is thinner so I am worried about it burning more of it. I guess I will just put more in. I am only burning about a quart every 1000.
