Wassup i usualy post at AutomtiveForums but nobody can seem to help me. The other day i was rideing down the road and my car just shut off.....so i checked for spark and nothing so i tested the coil to see if it had power going to it but none of the wires for the plug are hot. so my question is what can it be, i've already checked the fuse and its good but theres nothing else i can think of.

BTW its a 1996 GS

If you dont have a 12v + in the center wire of the coil harness with the key turned on then you have a bad asd relay.

You find it somewhere by the SEARCH BUTTON. There are pictures available and everything.

I tell you what the issue possibly is and instead of searching for where that part is you ask for it? Should I hold it for you while you pee too? Dont get pissy with me, use the resources available to you like the rest of us.

You're welcome to all the beer you can drink, but you have to go get it yourself. Don't get pissy when we point to the fridge and tell you to get it yourself.

NGK Iridiums are garbage. Throw away your $35.00 plugs and get some real ones.

NGK BKR7E gapped at .040 is what I use N/A.

On the firewall (drv side) there is 2 relays if your manual, 3 if automatic.

Pull them out and spray some electronic cleaner in there and get some di-electric grease. They may NOT have shit the bed. Mine lasted 3 years after what you described happened.

Use the search to find out which is the asd and which is the fuel pump relay.

I'm not gonna feed you with a silver spoon; good practice also :thumbsup

You could have just searched before waiting for replies. Don't you get that :shrug

ok well i serched.....sorry for being a ass but it was pointless for you to type that whent u could have just said on the driverside fire wall........

anywayz everything is good they all have 12v the coil also has power after reading up some i learned the coil only has power like the first 2 seconds it also has power i also put my ecu in a friends car so i know its good. but i put in new NGK iridiums plugs the other day and they were "pre gapped at .28" so they might have foueld or something

so i've narrowed it down to
A plugs
B cam sensor
C crank angle sensor
D my cars had a period of running hot so it might have had a blown head gasket and it might have finaly warpped some valves anyways ill find it all out tommrow i have a parts car and have 2 spar motors so i have all the sensors it could need ill check back tommrow
