I was very hesitant with ordering anything from concept illusions since they ahve a bad rep for taking so long etc. I decided to try them on egay for a ARP headstud kit. In a day or so after buying on egay, I got an email that they ahd sipped. Today to my surprise there was a nice box at my front door with their name on the address. Came in nciely packed and everything was included. Pretty quick from PA to WA I have to say. They also sent me a 5% off coupon for my next purchase which happens to be a set of JE pistons and rings that they are selling for 514 shipped on ebay. Guess 5% off of that isn't to shabby huh?

yeah, I ordered my pistons from them and an oil pump. Very fast shipping and great products. I never had any trouble with them at all. :thumbsup

off topic, I sent you a pm likea month ago about anything you might still have for sale. Oh well, I bought most of what I needed now.

I'm ordering up the je pistons and ring set with the obx rad hoses from them like tomorrow I think. It's going to be barely above 500 for all of that shipped! Can't find a deal like that anywhere else.

Now hopefully if Howell will ship my stuff fast, I will be ready to move the car again with a motor!

Ha, Hahn ship fast, I don't think those words have ever met in the same sentence. Good luck, it only took them 6 months for them to get my AFX ECU back to me.

And only about 3-4 months to get me my Screamin Demon. It wouldn't have been so bad if they didn't continue to lie to me about it. Everytime i called, "Oh, it'll be out of here today or tomorrow". I won't ever do business with Howell again.

i received my parts today as well ... i was kind of scared also from all the stuff people were saying .... i spent $$1200 on everthing for a bottom end rebuild... :) it only was one day late on predicted shipment ariival date ... not too bad ... thanks Shawn from Concept illusions for all the help ... Well, I ordered the pistons and rings from CI today. I checked my tracking on Howell. I ordered a bunch of parts from them last Friday night kinda late, it shows as still processing...hmm, hopefully that won't be the case for too long.

I've had terrible customer service from howell. They have good prices but be prepared to wait forever. I ordered some crane cams and some crane valve springs, I waited like 2 1/2 weeks and called they said it should be shipping out soon. I called back the next day to check on them they said the same thing, never updated their computer on the shipping status. I called back and said "I would like to cancel my order xxxxx" they basically refused to do so and refused a shipping status. I called the credit card company and told them the problem and the cancelled the order. About 2 days later howell posted some stupid ass bullshit about me trying to steal their products and that they contacted the pe police and left a message for their lawyer. Lmao still no messages from either the cops or lawyer.


P.S. I have had the pleasure of doing business with Concept Illusions. Ordered eagle rods and they came prompt excellent shipping and packaging, and i ordered an obx fuel rail which was great and fast. I am still waiting on them to receive more 55mm throttle body plates so i can send my TB in.

Howell customer service SUCKS!! That's all there is to it. Customer service means a lot to a customer because it shows the company actually cares about the customer, and in my opinion, Howell doesn't give a crap about any of their customers, they are only interested in one thing, selling their products and feeding bull **** excuses to their customers. Howell has no customer service whatsoever.
