100399, Crower 2 cam idle problem fix

Does anyone know of any other way to fix the idle with the Crower 2 camshafts besides using the afc?? Here's my delema, with the sfmu, and 310cc injectors, I cannot lower the fuel pressure because there is only 9inhg vacuum at idle so I can't lower the fuel pressure, plus it's always rich to begin with because the cams make the computer freak out and add more fuel when it doesn't need it. The only thing I am going to do is just run stock injectors and deal with a rich idle, if I go with any bigger injectors, my rich idle problem only gets worse. Anyone know?

The best way is to modify the MAP, via E-Manage, S-AFC, or one of the other products out there from Split Second or Perfect Power. Well the best way behind a stand alone.

Go that way, really fast, if something gets in your way... turn.

Another option would be to remove a little overlap via adjustable cam gears, but your top end may suffer slightly.

x2. Look back a page or 2 in this section and you'll see a post I made with some cam timing adjustment pointers.

Nevermind heres the link...read Cougar's posts in the thread about overlap and timing adjustments with these cams. Theres some good info in there.

I've got the crower 2's as well and yes...low vacuum, and lots of fuel are 2 definate results of this mod.

All you need to do is open up your throttle butterfly a little bit. Fixed it for me when I had my car
