Ok, i have a 97 Eclipse 420a turboed, upgraded fuel pump, injectors, FCD, SAFCII, and other supporting mods. I rebuilt the engine with 8.8-1 compression with the eagle rods. I did the break in period, everything went fine, tuned the car a little for the bigger injectors, and started boosting, i started at 8, then eventually went to 15. Everything was running real good the night i took it to 15. Cruised around for about 2-3 hours, not a problem. The next day, i go about 15 miles down the road, and bam, the car shuts down and won't start back up. I went and got some relays thinking the Muilty port went out. Changed them up, and still didn't work, disconnected the battery and reconnected it, still didn't work, then started playing with the fuses. Bam car starts up, runs for about half way home, then everything on the dash surges again and the car dies. I tow it home, pull the codes, got a 360 for Primary and Secondary Faluire on the coil. Changed it out and about every damn sensor and the car still won't start. I am getting fuel, spark, and yes the timing is still in? Kinda really lost short of the ecu being bad, but nothing smells fried in it. Any suggestions would be very nice!

Check the wiring harness that runs close to the EGR pipe. Those wires are notorious for melting on the EGR pipe and causing a short.

I just checked everyone of my wires connections from sensors to ecu, everything was fine. It feels like it wants to start, but just won't fire up!

Im with ^^^, sounds like a short to me.

the first time it happened i took the whole damn harness out and checked every wire, couldn't find one. The whole thing that made no sense to me is that the last time i was broke down, i messed with the fuses just pulling them in and out when a friend was trying to start it on the ignition coil(stupid i know) but it fired up,ran about 150 feet down the road, died, then didn't start again!

Are you getting 12 volts to the coil pack when the ignition is on?

No, i wasn't. But that is the first and last time i doubt someone. It ended up being the back side of the ICS ground, in which all the grounds link together, so it was shorting out all of them. Thanks for the help!

Damn you could have a short just about anywhere, it sounds like the insulation got stripped or melted off on a small area, the vibrations of your motor are probably shifting it just enough that it is triggering it. I would chek around all places that it could get pinched then around your exhaust system to see if you can spot any melted wires, after that there isn't much you can do but bust out a multimeter and start testing things and hope to get lucky.
