100044, AN 6 fuel lines Posted by DSMHybred, Jul-24-06 07:21 PM
So I am planning on installing my fuel system this weekend and I am just wondering what the advantage of going AN 6 on my fuel lines is? Will rubber renforced hose not handle the pressure? I will be using the Areomotive 13109 and I know that has AN 6 coming out of it but cant I just convert it to barb fittings? If all your going to tell me is to search, just keep it to yourself I spent long enough looking for some answers on this.

AN is a size reference, not a kind of hose. Has nothing to do with the quality or abilities of the hose. Its a reference to sizing.
You must be talking about SS vs. Rubber hoses.

Um I haven't specifically researched but I gather ss lines are much more reliable, flow more, are easy to connect/disconnect with the AN fittings, and can support higher fuel pressures.
