I was also hoping there was an easy fix for this problem. Cuz the main thing here is that I'm in SoCal and just having a CEL is an automatic fail. Even resetting it won't make u pass as their has to be some stored data in the ECU for ur car to pass emissions. I don't wanna spend 250-300 just to pass smog when the only problem is a code 31. Hell, if I were turbo, I'd pay that much for smog. But I'm only NA with minor bolt-ons... ;(
