The saginaw fitting is for power steering lines with an o-ring type seal. I would not du that even though the stealth guys are going it. You chance of leaks is very good. Considering gas tank is not far from the exhaust......that could be a real bad idea and half assing it is not worth it.

I really like the idea above with having a hydraulic shop re-crimp the factory fitting to the line.
