Don't buy an ebay kit. the wire quality is shitacular. most brittle junk with insulation that will melt the first time you rev over 3k rpms and it's too close to something warm. luckily I wasn't the one to discover this.

the Home Depot 4ga wire is much better quality and for ~$20 you really can't go wrong.

if you really want something that will pass a LOT of current and look good go buy some audio grade 4ga from a stereo shop. monster is the best but even some of the others will work great. expect to pay a little more if you go that route.

for the best performance remember to rewire the positive lead from the alternator to the battery with the same size wire. your circuit is only as strong as the smallest wire in the system. the 8ga wire that our alternators are wired with from the factory is not up to the job.
