I had a crazy dream last night about the shootout.

Only the most insane DSMers actually DREAM about the shootout.

It involved my car breaking down on that one back road where it splits like a "Y" on the way to the track. Then as it was sitting there, some dude came by and stole my SAFC or something similar and started running. I had to chase him through Buschur's shop after that and finally caught up with him near the track at the food stands. Ater that, I had to chase him through the Best Western hallways and in and out of some rooms.

The Shootout approaches :D

I've been spending the last 5 hours researching upgrading my fuel line and thinking about driving along the main drag in Norwalk. I hit me like a semi just now how close it is and how excited I am for it. Oh my fucking God. My mind wanders to the SO every 8 seconds. Between that and sex I can barely remember to breathe.

I'm getting psyched too. Mr Die Hard is busy dreaming up ways to make his money stretch like that Dalsihm character on Street Fighter. :P I'm remembering as much of the road between here and Wichita, KC as I can to get ready to roll. This is going to be so cool. I don't care if I'm broke the whole time and can't afford to do shit but sit on the curb in front of Taco Bell and shoot the shit with all you guys. This is going to be the best 2 weeks of my life (well, next to the honeymoon in Germany, but you get the idea). }(

Sitting on the curb drinking and shooting the shit is the best thing about the SO. Racing and all that other shit is secondary to the sitting and drinking.

My racing and driving memories at the two Shootouts I've been to so far are miserable but the hanging out more than cancels that out. Wheel falling off first year and blowing engine last year are bad memories but I rarely think about them due to how great the SO is otherwise. HOLLA BACK.

Shit. I just realized I need to bring a shit load of pennies for the "bunch of toll." :P I say we all bring penny jars with us. 20 2GNTs all having to count out $3.65 in pennies at the booth would be funny. Might even teach them a lesson too!

I am seriously contemplating NOT going, just because I have so much 'other' racing going on this summer. But then I think about hangin out at the BW with all you guys and reconsider. I will probably not run my car if I do go since 1)All the other Evos there will be faster than mine (a sobering thought for sure), and 2)My clutch will have around 22,000 miles on it (a freakin ETERNITY for an Evo clutch) and drag racing is not the best way to ensure I make the drive home. I wish they were still doing the auto-x, I'd clean up. ;)

The only way I know that the SO is getting close (too) is that I dont have my 8 injector setup up and running yet. A must for me to go. DAMMIT!!!

A rochester DSM'er towed Matt's car to NY and then Matt got a tow truck from there back to MD. This year will be fun hopefuly and maybe my lazy ass will finally make it out and drive up in Matt's dads pimp Harley F-150.

the thing you guys have all wrong is that the hanging out will be at norwalk inn this year :p I officially have enough monies to go and drink lots...i will prolly not be sober most the days. Also, my friend brad (Whittey) is seing about borrowing some hardcore media recording devices from his place of work...so we will be all official with teh video taping...and most likely be near the lanes to take lots o pics....along with all teh party action nwn :thumbsup

the number one reason i can tell its getting close is because my list of 'shit to do' is getting bigger ie new boost guage, rechip my maf translator, rebuild a spare trans (STFU lol), send me Ecu to keydiver, and my fucking god, i need to tune the piss outa it.

I am no longer rersearching and just over paying for parts just to make sure i am ready :(
