Well, considering Chicago would be cool, I looked into it.

From St Louis to Norwalk by way of Indy is about 550miles.
From St Louis to Norwalk by way of Chicago is about 600 miles.

That's going to be an extra hour of driving on the last leg which stands to be the hardest one imo. I still have to see what the rest of the Phoenix people think about this route. I think it's going to be tough to beat, but you never know.

So far, I'm thinking of making it into Norwalk on Thurday night, so we have all day Friday to get the cars cleaned up and the oil changed (after that kind of drive) and all that. The we will be rested for the festivities Friday night I think. If this turns out to be the case, we would be rolling into Indy mid- to late-morning on the 14th. We're also staying until Monday AM to leave on a good night's sleep too.
