i have a 96 talon esi and need to upgrade the clutch but have no idea if my system is modular or non-modular... what years had which? and which one is mine?

You have a modular. The only cars that I know of that had a non modular clutch, using our NV- T350 trans, is the 95 Neon. There may be more, but so far, no one has had an eclipse or talon with a non modular clutch...

uhhhhhh...thats not right...there are a lot of 2gnts with non modular clutches. 95s to early 96s had the modular clutches...late 96 to 99s had the non modular clutches. Or it is the other way around...dammit i can never figure it out :(

No, Matt's right. I don't think any 95's or 96's came with the non-modular clutch. Only neon's did.

I've never heard of anyone with a 2GNT regardless of year find a conventional flywheel hanging on their engine.

so...all of us can change out our flywheels with lightweight ones or none of us can?
