Speedo gear is pulled, intact, and a yellow/white plastic gear is positioned vertically to the left of the hole. appears to be on a horizontal shaft but cannot actually see shaft. Is this the correct position for the gear to be in? Also there are mesh marks on the gear which are black like the speedo gear, and approximately half of the gear is showing this color, so it appears to be engaged in installed position. From what I can see, it appears to not be an issue, but someone who knows the correct location, could make me a lot more confident about that assessment. That would bring me back to the wiring. I'm thinking of splicing the y/w wire to the TCU instead of the ECU, even though the pinout scheme for the 95 ECU shows a place for all 3 wires to go.That's why I did it that way. Corbin instructs in his article to splice this wire to the TCU. Any thoughts? Thanks.
