okay so i have a 96 eclipse rs with the 5 spd and if you have to accelerate any while the car is in 5th gear the shifter pops out. no grinding or any problems to speak of except the gear shift...ive heard theres a bushing that can go bad that can contribute or that my synchros are bad and need a new/or rebuilt trans.
