it cranks over just fine but wont start, could there be a connection i missed somewhere? the reverse light switch isnt plugged in because it broke. could that be it? i currently fear my fuel pump just happened to go out today when i tried to start the car up.

Do you hear the system prime itself when you turn the key to on but not to start? if so the fuel pump is not it. Is anything else not connected?
