K so my speedo doesn't work because the gear inside the trans came lose. I did test the sensor before by spinning it by hand and it did read on the gauge cluster so i stuck my finger down the hole and the gear felt loose so thats why i though thats the problem. But the cars throughin a speed sensor malfunction code now. Is it becuase of the car not reading a speed the reason for the code or could it be something else? I know its kinda a dumb question but i just wanna make sure.

You are correct. Fix that gear inside the trans and you should be fine.
