7775, Clutch lever on top?

So I scored a brand new transmission a few weeks back. The guy I bought it from was unsure of what clutch lever position I had so he gave me one with all internals with the lever on the bottom and luckily that's what my 95 gs had. he also gave me a shell with the clutch lever on top in case that's what i had for me to swap out internals. I'm just curious as too what years of our cars have the lever on top?

That would probably be a Neon bellhousing. Does the lever have a big slot in it?

yeah it does have a big slot in it. so then i have no use for this...scrap or die!
