I just rebuilt my engine, and it runs great. Pulls strong til about 6500 then feels like I am hitting the rev limiter. It revved to 7200 just fine before. I have ordered a new cam sensor, waiting for it to come. My only other idea is the MAP. Any suggestions??

You didn't swap in a new ECU at any point, did you? A '95 ATX ECU will run in a '95 MTX car and limit RPM at about that point.

No, ECU hasnt been touched at all.

if your timing is off the engine will sound like it is reving out but isn't "cut off" by the ecu it's just off in timing. might want to check that. especially if you have aem gears on it.

It is currently oem cam gears, and I double checked...and then double checked the timing again to make sure. The marks are 100% on.

You've probably changed gauge faces to some shit sack off brand with the wrong tach.

Nno actually the tach matched up right, and I used to go to 7200 all the time with these guages. Well, hopefully the MAP or CPS fixes it then.

You sure you're not hitting fuel cut?

It probably is fuel cut. The rpms just stop there and it jerks hard, then I let off. The only thing I can find is that it is dealing with CPS or MAP.
