k i did some poking around and when i go to look for the seal they show it as a separate seal from say advanced or rockauto. isn't it one piece? also i look at my transmission i have in my garage when looking at the input shaft itself in the back, it looks like old hard tranny fluid or is that a gel of some sort? its hard to tell. some spots have it some dont? i will post a picture. i put alittle arrow where the crack is, its almost gel like not sure if its suppose to be there or not

The seal IS seperate but you normally buy it with the bearing, all together. You can go to www.moparpartsamerica.com with the part number 4761090 and you will get the bearing and the seal together.

The other crud that you are seeing is probably just crud.

Remove the bellhousing from the trans and press it out with a hydraulic press. You can pound it out if you want to take a chance. Dont crack anything!

Have them do it for you. Just get it in writing that, when it doesn't work, they will replace your tranny :cheers
