6874, Alignment tool? Posted by BlackMagic, Jan-04-08 11:22 AM
Should my SB FE clutch and lightweight flywheel come with an alignment tool? And the bolts to put it together? Or am I on my own with that.

In that case does anyone know where to get an alignment tool, I tried advance but they don't carry any.

I wish I could help you. I got an alignment tool when I got my clutch kit from Fidanza.

Here is one: http://www.horsepowerfreaks.com/price/Mitsubishi/Eclipse-Talon_95-99/performance/Clutch/Alignment_Tools
I'm assuming you converted to non-modular? If so, then the kit should, most of the time they do. Double-check packaging and see. If it isn't there, then you might need to make a phone call or just order that one above. My clutch kit didn't come with an alignment tool either, but it wasn't needed since I'm still modular using a kit with the factory flexplate. Not sure exactly, but in a modular setup does an aftermarket flywheel replace the factory flexplate or is it a part of the kit?

Mine didn't. I had to source the bolts and an "alignment tool" separately.
I used a piece of pipe to align it. Worked fine.

I'd think that is should if it's non-modular (my modular OFE came assembled, regular flexplate-style though) - but on their site it says that the basic TZ and Rally Kits come with throwout bearing and alignment tool, but the higher models don't. Shoot Andy an email and ask 'em
