6705, My clutch adjustment.. Posted by avengerowner23, Oct-15-07 03:36 PM
well, for the past three weeks, on and off, i haven't been able to change the gears while the clutch pedal was all the way to the floor, and i have gotten awhole new hydrolic system, and it still is the same way...
i could temporarly fixed it by adjusting the clutch pedel like 1000 times, but it always acts up after like 20 miles of driving, also if it starts to act up, i just turn the car off, and the start it in gear (with the pedal all the wayto the floor) and itll be fixed again...
ive bleed the clutch a MILLION times, i just dont know it is anymore....
could anyone help?

You could have a leak somewhere causing the pressure to bleed off. Clean/dry everything real good so you can tell if/where it's leaking from and make sure all the connections are tight. Make sure the rubber hose on the fluid reservoir is not dry-rotted too.

i was checking yeasterday, and i took of the slave cylinder and the clutch fork popped of the little ball thing, and i put it back on easily, then i acted like i was the slave cylinder and i puch the clutch fork and i like puch the clutch fingers in, not enough to engage gears but in, before it woulnd't even budge if i try to puh it, not it just pushes, so i put a longer rod thinking that it might help, well it didn't, and i bled the clutch a lot of time, and the pedal stil feel a little soft, put its pushing the whole way out (i measured it), so i shorted the rod, and still not luck...
the other day, the car poped out of gear, and the clutch was acting funny, like i would floor it and it would slip, after adjust, it seemed fine..
and before, to put it in gear, i couldn't put the pedal to the floor,i would have to raise the pedal slowly until it slipped into gear...
this is just so fustrated, i just got every little problem fixed, and comes, this....sigh
