How much will it cost to have my transmission completely rebuilt? With double synchros in first and second? What if i dropped it out myself and took it to them? What if I bought a new tanny? What if i bought a used tranny? Please answer all of these questions...i need to pick one of them really fast. TIA!

You'd be better off calling and getting quotes from people that actually do this kind of work.

There's no need for a double syncro first or second. if you don't abuse them (and dragracing is not necessarily abuse) and use the correct, factory fluid they'll never fail.

Most of the money in transmissions is from internal parts. Depending on what you have replaced, the parts can cost far more than the actual labor. (One speed gear = $250!)
