629, Going under the knife Posted by Jasvb TS2K2, May-07-03 05:57 PM
O.k..Finally all parts are here. I am getting a Phantom Grip LSD, Diff pin brackets, Fidanza lightweight flywheel, ES motor mount inserts, and using the Mopar tranny fluid. Am I forgeting something? I have a question. Say I have bad syncros, cause the car revs rough in 1st gear, would that be something I could find quickly once opened up? Any other suggestions to make this a solid install leaving nothing to chance, let me know. Thanx :D

Well my car doesn't have the best reverse and the second isn't all that good either and i can tell you that everything looked fine in it when i had mine open. Maybe you know what your looking for but i sure didn't see anything.
also you need some anaerobic gasket maker to seal it back up. Do not try any other stuff or it will leak and you will have to redo it. Believe me, i had to redo it.

746, Not back yet, bolt issue Posted by Jasvb TS2K2, May-23-03 07:01 PM
I was going to get my car back tomorrow but I guess the bolts supplied by Fidanza are too short? :wary. For some reason they could bolt on to my clutch bit would leave little clearance so Mopar bolts where ordered from the non modular Neon clutch to be on the safe side. Anyone else with the SPEC and Fidanza flywheel have this problem? Perhaps my non-mechanical explanation isn't correct if you have any idea what I mean please elaborate. Thanx

I got it back!!!! :D MAN! How could I have gone turbo for a year without it! I am never glad it rains but today I was. I got to test out the LSD's ability. WOW! I can't express how happy I am. After the break in period I'll let everyone know the true limits of the PG. I have to get used to driving with the Fidanza. Anyone else experience the rough idle? Especially when you come to a stop? I guess with the loss of momentum and kenetic energy it's somewhat normal. I am not sure if it's just now? Anyone with long term use please post a comment. I might be more excited than when I got my turbo with these mods....:thumbsup
