My 2gnt project is coming together pretty soon and i know before i pulled the drivetrain that the 2nd gear synchro was gone. Where do i get a new synchro assembly for my tranny. Other than satan, I called my local satan and they couldn't even find the specific part # or what they did find was not very definent.

I got nothing good to tell you. I blew just the ring gear mate on my secondary shaft (other than that a wonderful tranny). Figured I'd just pull her apart and replace the shaft. No, no, no, says satan. You cannot get parts for these. You have to buy the whole shaft assembled! Only $1200 (something goofy like that).

Now this was a buddy of mine working the dealership, so I figure it's not a case of goofy dealershipitis.

Though, goddamn, these parts aren't cast together. They must be available somewhere.
