I am stumped as to what this bolt holds on. It is the transmission bolt that is at the very bottom of the tranny (where if you don't have the shield in place you can see the flywheel). It is possible this bolt could hold the shield in place but I'm very doubtful chrysler would have such a larger bolt to hold on a thin piece of metal. I'm guessing a bracket of some kind goes there but I am not sure.

Anyone know what this bolt hold on?

There is a kind of L bracket that goes from the trans to the block. Here is a picture of the one that is on the back side. The one on the front is similar.
