recently i was driving my car, shifted down into 4th for a hill, then when i went to shift back into 5th, i couldnt find it. 1-4 gears seem like they are out of place, where 5th usually is ends up being 3rd, and i have trouble getting it into reverse. Could this be a linkage problem or somethin internal? I have a 98 neon r/t just collecting dust, should i take the 5 speed from that in put it in the eclipse? Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated

sounds like linkage. check under the battery tray and see if everything is right. i bet a clip fell out.
