OK so I went to do a burn out for a documentary thing for my friend and I didnt dump the clutch. It sounded like I was doing a burnout, I was gaining RPMS up to 6000 fast and I smelt "rubber". Well what I thaught was rubber...friend said I didnt even spin! It was my clutch I was smelling, I think the clutch is going soon but how long will it last? I can hear my throw out bearing grinding, I think thats what it is since it stopps whne I press the clutch pedal in. I can shift fine in all gears without the clutch slipping..only problem I kno of is taking off in 1st I kinda have to ride it outa first a little bit...all others are fine. What do yall think? Anyone have a clutch for me? 1995 Non Turbo RS

1. Don't do burnouts.
2. It's probably fine. If it doesn't slip when accellerating, then its doing its job.

well It never slips goin into hear or anything, its just that when I am taking off it feels kinda weird....also I hear my throw out bearing sometimes (mainly when cold) and I press the clutch in and it stops....

and will a burnout every now and then dumping clutch hurt anything?

Not if you don't mind replacing transaxles because your diff comes apart and destroys your trans case, no.
