Posted by Bigtymr1021, Dec-23-05 08:42 AM
Im having misfiring and stalling problems....first the cam sensor dies and I replace it but it keeps killing them. On here one user said that a sign of the clutch dieing. Also whenever the clutch isn't engaged in idle it is making a clicking noise. I was wondering if my clutch is gone? Please help

How many miles are on the clutch?

The cams are connected to timing, so I'm not 100% positive how that relates to the clutch.

44K....im not seein where it would either, but a user on here seems to say it helped. When I put the car in rev and barely let out on the clutch until it grabs, rpms drop and want to die....its actually not misfiring now just wants to stall out on its own

I don't think the clutch is causing the engine to stall. But it might be that when you engage the clutch the load on the engine is enough to stall it.

Might also just be a loose / worn / broken Cam sensor connector / harness. When the engine torques on the mounts it might be wobbling the connector. It's happened to me.
