I toasted my clutch this weekend, so I'm in the market for a replacement..I'm pretty set on going with a SBC setup, but this car isn't going to see much more power than it is now..I'll need something that can handle maybe 375ft lbs of torque. My new project will need something much, much stronger hehe..I'm pretty much done with the RS for now, so I just need something that will hold 15-18 psi well. Anyone use their clutches that is boosted? I really dont want to spend that 525 for their DXD-F series..I think that may be a bit of overkill..I'll prob give em a call this week anyway, but just wanted to hear any success stories?

I just picked up South Bends OFE SS clutch. Got the modular setup with the higher clamp pressure plate (SS), cost me 477 after tax. They quote it at 490 online, but if you mention something about 2GNT or being referred to, you should be able to work something out. The SS model uses a stronger Sachs plate, Andy said its a 100% higher clamp force over stock. He also stated "you can slap a big turbo on your car with this clutch and have no worries." I'm thinking the OFE is right up your alley Matt. Give Andy a call, he can go into better detail and probably work out a deal with you.

He told me to spread the word about SBC, I can't express enough how down-to-earth these guys with their customers.

PS: I'll be bringing the car to the meet Saturday, you could take it for a spin if you wanted to get an idea of how it feels.

Yeah I talked to SBC today, and the OFE is what they reccomended...I really didnt want to spend much more money on this car, but i need a good clutch..The guy told me 475 over the phone, without mentioning 2gnt or anything..I'll see what we can work out :)

Automotosports uses SBC for any custom clutch designs. SBC is a very well organized and customer oriented shop. They take into consideration your setup and can build a clutch to your specs if you desire. They come highly recomended from me.

I have the dxd-f clutch in my car and it grips good but my car vibrates at idle and goes away as long as Im above 2000 rpms in every gear since it was installed.
