I read that we can use Loctite 518 and it's variants, but is the 515 usable? I am wondering because I have access to free 515, but I am not sure of the similarities between the two.

I forgot to mention that I am putting my tranny back together, so I was wondering what to use between the case/bellhousing.

Honestly, I use grey RTV and am very careful when I line everything up as to not break the bead. I've never used any sort of anerobic sealant on any trans i've ever rebuilt.
