Sup guys.
Since I am already in there (taken out the engine, and replacing the clutch) I should change the input shaft seal/bearing as well right?

The manual I got doesn't show the DETAILS of removing that input shaft bearing assembly. only breifly descripted it.
So any help will be greatly appreciated!

Anyone with some pictures of the process of replacing the bearing?

you beat it out. the bearing and the shaft that the tob rides on is all one assembly, you beat it from the gearcase side of the bellhousing. A large socket and a hammer will do the trick. Then you just beat the new one in, but you have to be more careful going in. make sure it goes in straight and sits flush in the bellhousing.

So if I am not openning my tranny up. then I cannot take it out?

or everyone just BEAT the shit out of it to get it out?

I am not going to open my tranny just for that, so is there any way I can replace it? do you guys just suggest I should leave it alone then?

if it aint broke dont fix it. it doesnt unbolt or anything. its pressed in, and really, should be pressed out and a new one pressed back in. you can beat it out though, doesnt matter if you fuck the old one up, but you have to be careful and "tap" the new one in.

and yeah, you have to open the case up. which isnt too big of a deal.
