Im just wondering if now since I have a new clutch in and have never had a new one in this car, whats the normal point of engagement. I would think that I would have to mess with the adj. on the MC. Actually I already have and I think I fudged it. Its seems like its engaging when it gets closer to the top and dont like it. I look like somebody that is just learning how to drive a manual, lol. Im used to it being towards the bottom.

So if I want engagement closer to the floor, do I unscrew the bracket on the MC rod closer to the clutch pedal arm or screw it in farther towards the firewall?

I have googled this, searched on this site and on VFAQ's.

Im running a Southbend modular setup.

brand new clutches engage like almost dead clutches - light pedal, disengage near the floor, friction point high in the pedal.

Wait a few hundred miles before you start adjusting or you'll just end up chasing the wear-in of the clutch.
